Hello all,
I've got a strange dilemma that I was hoping I could get some input on, especially if anyone has had this problem: Twice in the last month when starting up my '96 savage (with 22,000 miles), in the first few seconds after it started running I noticed the headlight out, with both the turn-signal indicator lights and high-beam indicator light illuminated on the dash panel. Then the headlight suddenly came on and the dash resumed to normal operating procedure.
Then tonight, during a 16 mile evening ride over to my girlfriend's house, the headlight suddenly cut out for a total of two seconds, again with both the turn-signal indicator lights and high-beam indicator light on the dash fully illuminated for those two seconds, and then as quickly as the problem arose, everything resumed back to normal.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and how was it fixed? If not, does anyone have any insight as to what the problem may be (battery, moisture, etc...) and how to remedy it? I'm not yet ready to turn my steed over to the local shop because they unfortunately are not very reliable and they take weeks just to get back with an estimate.
Please help! And thanks so much for anyone's input!

-Doug
